    Artist description
Liquid Shox was born in Long Beach, California. Being raised there gave him the knowledge and heart, which creates his strong lyrics and beats. Liquid Shox is one of the hottest hip-hop producers you will find on the net. And his main focus is to bring unique top quality beats that keep your head noddin' constantly.
    Music Style
Strictly hip-hop or some of that West Coast gangsta sh--.
    Musical Influences
Rza, Allah Mathematics, Fred Wreck, Daz, Battlecat, Bad Azz, KLC, and anyone else that can make tight beats that keep my head movin'. Also, a big shout out to all the fellow Long Beach emcees that have made it in the rap game: Snoop Dogg, Bad Azz, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Soopafly, Tray Deee, Goldie Loc, Black Knights, Doggy's Angels, Techniec, Domino, and one day hopefully Liquid Shox puttin' it down for the L-o-n-g Beach.

    Artist History
I simply got into producing a year ago, because I couldn't stand listening to tight rhymes over a weak simplistic beat. Some of the beats I've heard sound like some cat beat boppin' on a lunch table with cow bells in the background, and I'm like, "sh--, I can make a tighter beat then that if I had the equipment to do so." Some of y'all might disagree with me, but I feel that the beat to a track is the most essential thing. 'Cause I don't give a sh-- about your rhymes or the meaning of 'em unless there on a hard hitting beat.
    Instruments
All my instruments are analog and come from either a keyboard, beat program, or sampling. It would definitely be nice to use a live violin, piano, or orchestra. But 'til that day I work with what I have.
    Press Reviews
What's the science behind your name? Or is there any? I get that question a lot, so I just drop the actual definitions of the words I memorized and let cats figure it out for themselves. Liquid is a fluid (as water) that has no independent shape but has a definite volume and does not expand indefinitely and that is only slightly compressible. Shox (shock) is sudden stimulation of the nerves and convulsive contraction of the muscles caused by the discharge of electricity through the animal body. Q. How would you describe yourself? I'm mainly laid back, but can get crazy around the true cats I personally know. I'm the type of person that has to know you to joke with you, or even talk to you for that matter. I could be antisocial at times, but I think that's one of my best qualities. Nigga's don't try nigga's they don't know anything about. I'm also big on respect, 'cause that's all I give to people. I don't believe in a man playing another man. To me, if you're disrespecting me you're playing me or coming at me sideways. So I don't know how else to handle that, other than letting you know shit is real anyway possible, no what I mean? But all and all I'm cool if you are. Q. What would you like to show the world through your music? It's not more or less my music, but my life. I want to show everyone watching me, reading about me, and listening that anything is possible, and any vision is worth reaching. See, I call it visions because I don't believe in the word "dream." A dream is not reality. Almost all we as people "dream" about is reality, when it's right in our faces. We just have to figure out a way to get it. A "dream" to me is a person flying without a plane, or as a bird. A "dream" is falling, or jumping off a roof of an eighty floor building and living. But a lot of rappers today, and people in general tell you they "dream" about having a lot of money, nice cars, a nice house, etc. All that shit is real. All that shit could come true tomorrow, feel me? Just go get it. Q. Is there any personal quotes or lyrics you have or live by? Yes. "One conversation across a table with a wise man, is worth months of study in books." Think about it. And one more quote is: "Sometimes I stand under a street lamp, and talk to my shadow, 'cause even through dark times, he knows what I go through"- Rasputin of C.O.R.E. How would you describe your music? Punch lines mixed with metaphors over bangin' beats, and maybe some of that West Coast gangsta shit. To me I rhyme about life, and the struggles involved with it. Yet, I stay true to hip-hop in the sense that it grew through the art of battling. And since I got my start there, it's one of the aspects that make up my artistic style. What inspired you to become a hip-hop artist?   Since my days in Long Beach, California I had been aware of hip-hop. Yet, I hadn't decided hip-hop was my way until I heard 'Triumph' by the Wu-Tang Clan. Especially Inspectah Deck's verse where he dropped a verbal assault of knowledge. It impressed me and made me want to do it. Then one day I got online and started writing lyrics at Lyrikalwar.com, and from there I started gettin' really interested and started working on hip-hop one-hundred precent. What do you think of Mainstream Hip Hop? I think mainstream hip-hop serves it's purpose. Artists like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Jay-Z, and others draw people who may never listen to hip-hop into the culture. I mean it's hard to have an underground without a mainstream scene.
