Artist History
Down on Public Effect were the first group and project recorded for Straight-Up Procuction in 1991.
Our use of samples and rock guitars are being imitated by Artists Kid Rock, Fatboy Slim, A Tribe Called Quest
Jermaine Dupree, When the Record Industy was pumping Sir-Mix-A-Lot, they neglect to recognize the talent outside
of that camp. The Seattle Rap Scene did not prosper as did the Rock Community that used a networking of persons
taking advantage of the Major Label's search for that next "Big Senstation from Sea-town.
Down on Public Effect has connection to Mr. Mix along with a association with Seattle's Nasty Mix Records,
and radio station KUBE-FM. |
