Artist History
Most of us have enjoyed music for as long as we can remember. While we don't have
anything near a professional recording studio, we do have some equipment and use
it best we can to do what we love most in life.
After hearing the music of some people who call themselves musicians and have
the gall to expose their music to the world, we decided we couldn't do much
worse even if the quality of our recordings wasn't the best. Hopefully, most can tell
that we do have some talent (that of course is open to much debate). We do play
real instruments (as opposed to sythesized - we do have a synthesizer which is used
for keyboard and sometimes bass) and we do write and record our own music.
So while the recording quality may not be the best (it's not bad) it is our hope that
you will at least get the idea we were going for in each or our songs. Maybe you will be
convinced that some effort was put into them and we did question whether or not we could
unleash them to the world without people wondering why the heck we bothered. Even
if you find our music good for nothing but laughs, we hope it will at least come close
to fitting into the category of entertainment.
The name WornOutShoes comes from our lead singer's screen name first used
to post messages to the www.houseoftoad.com message board. It represents more of
an attitude rather than actual footwear. You could say that while some people's
mental footwear is performing fine, they may not have walked as far as we have. We
could sit down and stop walking the road of life because our mental feet hurt, or we
could endure it. If not as legitimate musicians, then as illegitmate ones - doing what
we love even if no one takes us seriously or cares at all |
