Artist History HEROD BIO With their formation in the fall of 2000, Buffalo, NY"s HEROD have set out on a mission. That mission being to bring some of the most diverse and technically brutal music to the forefront of the international metal scene. Tired of being in bands that had no true dedication from its' members, Herod have set out to put together a band that will stand the test of time, while extending the boundaries of heavy music. Building on their intense love of metal music, combined with their past experience in previous bands: Union(Ferret Records), Dead to the World(Stillborn Records, Redstar Records, Back Ta Basics Records), The Control, IND(Watchmen Records),Tundra, Voicekiller, Unsewn, as well as Ceasefire and Policy 187 of Fetus Records fame, Herod has prepared to take on the world of hard edged music by storm. The concept of HEROD, a historical and biblical figure known for both his great and unspeakable deeds, began quite some time ago. Mike and Jesse wanted to form a band that would incorporate several styles of heavy music. The two were tired of being in bands that released album after album in the same overused fashion. In order to make this idea a success, the two recruited the services of Nate and Bryce, whom Jesse and Mike had known for years from their previous bands and rehearsing with. Jeremy was recruited by chance, rather by luck, completing 5 piece outfit with his incredible ability. The members of HEROD have all been an intricate part of the hardcore scene and are no stranger to the rigors of the road. All of the members are prepared to tour extensively to help spread their message and music. To date, HEROD has released a CDEP on Canada’s Sounds of Revolution Records, www.soundsofrevolution.com, and a ful lenght on Philadelphia’s own Too Damn Hype Records.  Anew full length is due out in 2003 on a new label since the band is looking for a new home.
