Artist History Cars as Weapons were formed from the ashes of the acclaimed UK post hard-core band Stands to Reason. After STR split, the creative forces of the band, (Guitarist Rob Lawrence and drummer Richie Harwood) sought help from old friend and talented singer/songwriter Andy McArthy. After several months of writing new material, they invited bassist Paul Griffith and talented frontman & vocalist Will Prowse to complete their line-up. Before playing their first show, they were approached by the Exeter based Freakscene label to promote them and put out their debut release “In Pieces”. Since playing shows supporting Grand theft Audio and Washington DC band Burning Airlines, they are preparing for their first UK tour. Their CD, that has already received much media interest, is due to be officially released on the 27th August.
