Artist description
Many eons ago a great funk arose in a distant end of the galaxy. Lacking form yet emanating raw grooviness, it traversed the cosmos leaving devastating bootyquakes in its wake. Finally, it traveled to earth, where it found two young lads known as guatermelon and PILOT, from a small island in the Bay Area. They harnessed the funk with electro-licious beats and dubbed it The Voltronic Rocket Society. |

Artist History
The Voltronic Rocket Society was formed in 2001 on Treasure Island, CA (The Robot Fighting Capital of the World). Dave was making weird down-tempo beats under the name "guatermelon" and Steve was making weird drum and bass beats under the name "P.I.L.O.T." One day Steve needed some accompaniment on his first live show and invited his next door neighbor, Dave, to help out. They clicked on stage and the rest is history. They now play monthly at various locations in the Bay Area. |
