Artist History
Sauter Sonic Labs R&D began in 1996 with remixes of the Shaggy remix of Fun Loving Criminals' "Scooby Snacks," the Springfield remix of Squirrel Nut Zippers' "Hell," and the infamous "Block Cartman Beats."
"Block Cartman Beats" was a startling internet hit, downloaded many thousands of times at beef-cake.com and many South Park websites. The Chemical Brothers themselves stole a rare CD copy of the song, and Comedy Central awarded Sauter Sonic Labs a collectible lamp.
Sauter Sonic Labs products thrived during the Napster era, even eventually honored by being software-blocked.
