Artist History The members of Cerebral Compression include three of the south side of Chicago's most notorious bands - Squachek, Drunk On Martinis, The Doomed, Danimal, The Outcasts and Zyklon-B. The most interesting part of our history is the recording of Have A Seat, which was produced by the late Phil Bonnet. From Centerstage.net: "Phil Bonnet - producer/musician who recorded many local bands in far-reaching areas of the Chicago music scene, including Apocalypse Hoboken, Bobby Conn, Eleventh Dream Day, Edith Frost, Green, Illusion of Safety, The Krinkles, No Empathy, Will Oldham, Jim O'Rourke, Sam Prekop, Sidekick Kato, and the Smoking Popes. Phil died in early 1999 of a brain aneurysm at the age of 38. Phil Bonnet was also a longtime member of the band Cheer-Accident." He helped us out a lot by recording Have A Seat on a shoestring budget, plus not cutting back at all on his dedication. Thanks Phil, we miss you even though we didn't know you very well.
