Artist description
Triggerfish has created a catchy blend of music from several different generational styles - from 60's psychodelic to 70's funk, 80's metal to 90's grunge. By fusing youthful energy with maturity and cynicism, while never really losing touch with a healthy sense of humor, Triggerfish defines rock and roll in the '00s. |
 |
Music Style
Infectuous melodies and soulful, introspective lyrics layered over a hook-filled, hard driven rock and roll sound. |
 |
Musical Influences
Everything from the '60's through today's rock. |

Artist History
What can one say about Eric? Legally that is... He has been writing and performing music for fifteen years. His last band, Double Dare Zoo, was from LA and played on the Sunset Strip and other locations in southern California. Eric's goal is to be a rock star after he finishes medical and law school and solves world hunger. Eric has also been known to have a strange obsession with little people.
----------Frank started playing guitar in 1983 to pick up chicks. After almost twenty years he decided to continue playing anyway. His early influences included Randy Rhodes, Eddie Van Halen, George Lynch, Adrian Vandenberg, the Beatles, and Ace Frehley. And if asked about today's influences he will most likely give you a long speech about lack of talent in most of todays artists. Frank plays Ibanez, Fender, and Gibson guitars. All at once. His first band was in '84 called Public Nuisance. He continued to play in bar bands from 1987 through 1990 doing mostly covers. After a ten year hiatus in which he went to college, got married, started a family, won the cold war and decoded the human genome he hooked up with Eric and the rest is still to come.
----------In his accomplished career, Scott Rogers has done for the drumming community what Sir Isaac Newton has done for .... the drumming community. Playing for 15 years, and with artists such as Blood of a Poet, Sue Foley, the Trees, Dave Shaffer, and Strange Fate, Scott has developed a variety of intricate rythmic stylings that occasionaly match the songs of the rest of the band. After moving to Austin 12 years ago from Abilene, Texas, he met and married his beautiful (and VERY patient) wife, Rachel in 1997. Scott is the owner of Elemental Concepts, but word has it he'll mow your lawn for a few bucks... Scott plays Tama Rock Star Custom drums, Zildjian cymbals, a bad game of golf and uses Vic Firth sticks.
----------Nathan has been playing guitar since '90 and has yet to fully grasp the concept of it all. He played in two garage bands, one that later became Strange Fate. One day he was called by Scott to play in a new band called Triggerfish. After hearing his playing and songwriting they decided to keep him anyway. |
