Artist History
Theory has been recording and performing locally for 6 years, in various genres of music.
Theory began his career as a songwriter, playing guitar and singing in local punk bands in Sonoma County, CA.
Theory soon graduated from the local punk/ska scene and began playing bass with a local experimental surf-rockabilly group known as The Plutones.
After a brief stint of playing bass with the Plutones, Theory went back to his first love, composition and songwriting.
In an insane attempt to break from the norm, Theory tried to be an MC - ferociously writing lyrics and composing beats that were only seldom heard by close friends and the occasional partygoer.
All illusions of hip-hop mastery fled from Theory's convoluted brain once "Rap" became the newest form of popular media brainwashing, and once again introspectively shifted to a more appropriate genre:
NONE.
Theory now spends all his non-working time refining the art of composition and production. He uses a "half-ass" home studio consisting of a computer, a funky old Yamaha keyboard, a microphone, and a collection of guitars, basses, and hand drums to compose and record maliciously deviant tunes ranging from downtempo flights to high energy drum & bass.
Theory wishes he could make it as a musician, but is comfortable in his anonymity.
Theory only hopes that his audience enjoys his efforts, and that they in turn make the effort to inform Theory of how the music affects them, for good or worse.
Theory is writing in the third person. |
