Artist History The Day I Snapped formed in November 2001 with an original line up consisting of Alan Easton (XL5/Mixu) on guitar and vocals and Craig Brennan (Beauty School Dropout) on drums and backing vocals. Those two original members remain, and the line up is now completed by Richie Bradford (Beauty School Dropout) on lead guitar and Chris Gordon (Baby Chaos/Regency Buck) on bass. Over the last year and a half, the band have opened for, amongst others, acts such as Strung Out , The Lawrence Arms, The Pavers, Midtown, King Prawn, Sense Field, Down By Law, Spunge and Bowling For Soup. The band also made an appearance at the “T In The Park” festival in 2002. Influences thoughout the band members include Hot Water Music, All/ Descendents, Samiam, Alkaline Trio and Leatherface. The Day I Snapped have gradually worked their way into the hearts and minds of the Glasgow music scene and have proved time and again that they can deliver on the big stage to capacity audiences. With Chris behind the desk as well as in front, 5 tracks have been recorded with titles including “The Last 2 Natural Highs”; “Jennifer 8” and “Travelling Home”. These recordings have helped the band secure airplay on national radio stations, including Radio 1, and the band’s most recent work included a 3 song live session on the Vic and Gill show on Radio 1 Scotland.

Press Reviews The Day I Snapped - Demo CDEP (3 tracks) I've seen the name 'The Day I Snapped' on loads of top gigs in Scotland with the likes of Sensefield, Lawrence Arms, The Pavers etc etc and now I can see why. This quartet from Glasgow, made up of ex members of Beauty School Dropout and various other bands rocked my stereo from the first well struck chord, all the tracks would fit under the label of emo rock, but take more of an influence from bands like Big Drill Car, Doughboys, Mega City Four etc and their so much the better for it. In fact I've said this before but some music goes past genre labelling and can just be describe as great up beat rock and this is one of them. All 3 tracks on this demo have everything going for them, impressively performed, great production and extremely well written and thoughtout structure. I liked Beauty School Dropout, but 2 better bands 'The Day I Snapped' and 'Barefoot' came out of them. Check this band out as soon as you can!!!!!
