Artist description
The Butties are one of the less reverent Beatle copy bands you're likely to find. Self described as a Beatles rip off,
the band is more intent on recreating the sound of the Beatles rather than the look. They don't wear costumes or use accents,
wigs or moustaches. The goal is to play the music live, and get people up and dancing.
A lot of the music the band plays is from the Beatles early days, featured on the Beeb CDs.
This particular project does not use original Beatles songs,
but takes public domain Christmas Carols and arranges them
as if the Beatles were doing them. |

Artist History
The Butties formed at Syracuse University. After going their separate ways, the guys got back together to play at a family wedding.
A couple years later, they played at drummer Robbo's wedding, and the idea for a regular reunion gig came up. Now the lads have made Southern Vermont
their new home away from home (or in Sam's case, his actual home, since that's where he grew up). The Butties
have been rocking Weston and it's neighbors since 1993 and will continue to do so every July until further notice!
The guys will also likely play in NYC this December between Christmas and New Years, and are also happy
to play parties and receptions. |
