Artist History
Dirty Murphy is a straight ahead rock act playing music with a raw mix of style, fire, and emotion. These elements combine into tight gutsy songs reminiscent of Cream, The Rolling Stones, Stone Temple Pilots, and The Cult. The band took its name from a mongrel dog rescued from the city shelter. The band, like the dog, is looking for a good home..and a BATH.

Dirty Murphy ..The band delivers the snarling bite of guitar driven rock. Thomas and Tony have been playing together in various projects over the past ten years. Thomas is the consummate front man. On stage he exudes power and authority. Thomas has played in bands including Stiff Mickey, Krash, and Third Degree. Tony is THE stage guy. He is kinetic on stage. His deep, clear tone moves the band and helps to define the groove. Tony has been playing in clubs since he was 15 years old and in 1995 appeared with brother Gabriel on the Rolling Stones tribute album "No Moss". Gabe has a fiery style reminiscent of Joe Perry, Slash, and the Stones mixed with the aggression of NIN. He has played in a number of bands over the years ranging in styles from hard rock, to funk, to Goth. Drummer Jason Bystrak is the driving force behind the songs. He is the pulse that guides this dirty dog. In the past he has played an extended stint with the band Standing Time. Jason has also played with various rock and jazz projects. The diversity of the band members combine to to produce songs that will fill your hunger for loud raucous rock. So come out and feed your dirty dog. |
