Artist History
22 Strings to Break was formed in '98 as an opportunity-band for an unplugged concert in a local pub, as a 4-piece.
The story behind the name is the following: three of the bandmembers were guitarists, and one a bass player. That means 3*6 strings + 4 strings = 22 Strings... and with our tendency for bad luck during live performance, we promptly named ourselves 22 Strings to Break!
However, the concept of playing unplugged struck a chord (pun intended), and the band started writing material shortly afterwards.
Unfortunately, the original singer, drummer and bassist decided that this was not the sort of music they wanted to be playing, and left the band.
We didn't give up though, and continued to play and write music, that we hope you'll enjoy. |
