Artist History
The American Tragedy originated in February 2000. Hailing from the Shreveport/Bossier City Louisiana area, the band knew from the beginning that any local success involving playing original music would be hard to come by. However, after playing their first show, an MDA benefit concert, the response was so overwhelmingly positive that several local club owners welcomed the band with open arms and saw their business double and even triple on the nights AT were booked. Vocalist/Guitarist Adam Dale mesmerizes his audience and sends the listener on an emotional rollercoaster with his well-thought lyrics and incredibly catchy melodies while drummer Trey McLemore, bassist J.C. Eiland, and lead guitarist Jackie Brock pound the audience with mind blowing riffs and powerful grooves that often fire the crowd into a mad frenzy. At local shows, newcomers are often amazed by hearing the crowd singing along with Adam - often competing with the club sound systems. The American Tragedy's self-produced demo "Pennies" has sold an astounding 1000 copies since it's release and has received airplay on Clearchannel's 98.9 KTUX, KTAL 98.1, KLPI 89.1 and is being considered by several college radio stations in the south. |

Press Reviews
DJ MX witnessed the American Tragedy headline a show with Imbalanced and Plugg. He had this to say.
"The American Tragedy is by far one of the greater bands in the Arklatex area. It's only a matter of time before these guys are targeted by major record labels and, in my opinion, will become one of the most popular and influential bands, creating as large a name for themselves nationally with the likes of great bands such as Staind. If you ever get the chance to see them, take it!" |
