Artist History
DON MORRIS:
Don's musical interest started at age 7 when he
began to sing along with his favourite songs on
the radio by artists such as the Everly Brothers,
Elvis and the Beatles. He sang in the elementary
school boys choir, which was conducted by Mrs.
Ford. At age eleven he started to learn to play
guitar from Mrs. Krafchick at the Canadian
Institute Of Music where he took lessons for four
years. Don also played in the Munroe High School
band. Later he played in local rock band called
"Pillar" His musical interest continued by
teaching guitar at Guitarland and to his friends.
Don taught guitar for four months in Vancouver.
Don returned to Winnipeg where he studied music
at a bible college. After playing on the road for
a year with the Roy Petty Show and for another
six months in a lounge act, Don decided to settle
in a career in youth care at Knowles Centre Inc.
He continued teaching guitar to the residents of
Knowles for eighteen years while jamming with
various fellow musicians and doing coffee house
gigs in his free time. At present Don is employed
at Grant Park High school as a teacher assistant
and he plays in the Guitar Club with teachers and
students. "The Adventures Of Robby Raccoon" began
as a children's story in the spring of 1995, and
this labour of love inspired the creation of songs
for the CD.
DOUG SMITH
Doug played drums for about 2 years with a group
called the Musical Odyssey. He has jammed with
various local rock groups. After meeting Don, he
began drumming along to the songs from "The
Adventures Of Robby Raccoon", first in jam
sessions and then on MIDI Drum Pads. When the
pads were no longer available at the studio he
acted as a drum track advisor on most of the
tunes on the CD.

at various performances in the Grace Hospital
church.

United Church and at various other churches in
Winnipeg.
ANGELINE MCINTYRE:

the celebration of the centennial and has been
hooked ever since. She is self taught in piano.

years in the 70's in the disco band Bump & Grind
in British Columbia. She sang and played keyboards
in the the Winnipeg band, Melting Pot, which
performed in Winnipeg, Portage la Prairie and
Shilo between1978 and 1981. Presently Angeline is
a host karaoke singer at the Polish Club.
