Pam has been working with children as both an educator and entertainer for many years. Pam's songs for children are positive and allow for the joy and exhuberance of childhood. The rhymes and games she offers are age old favourites that children thirst f or. Her original songs vary from humourous and high energy to gentle and soothing. Her tapes have been favourites in the Lower Mainland library system and are used by many teachers and Early Childhood Educators in their programs.
Pam Southwell has perf ormed widely in both England and B.C.Canada. Pam is also a storyteller and is currently working on a CD of stories.qż |

Artist History
Pam began singing for children as a teacher. She started writing specifically for children in 1986 and produced her first tape, "Pamarama Sings Songs So" as Pamarama, her singing clown personna. She reformatted this project in England as "The Monster Danc e. Her second tape (Growing Up Green) and third tape (Five Little Finger Rhymes and Lots of Circle Games) were recorded in England by Les Chappell.
Pam Southwell's fourth project for children was commissioned by the University College of the Fraser Vall e y in B.C. Canada. They wanted a musical tape for their "Children In The Valley" ECE Conference. This tape featured 10 songs relating to growing up in the Fraser Valley and is called "Children Of The Valley."
Pam also performs for adults with her daughter Beth in TWO TALL WOMEN. |
