Artist History So what does FIERCE ALLEGIANCE mean? It means honesty, honor, & strength. It means having a fierce allegiance to stand up against all odds, to never give in. It means fighting for what you believe in. It means INTENSITY. This is the attitude we have when we take the stage and when we write our music. Fierce Allegiance sprung out of the Washington DC scene during the winter of 2000. The band was formed because we all loved thrash/death metal, punk rock and hardcore. We experimented to create something new and unique to bring all three of the schools together. We melded these styles together under our banner of THRASHCORE. In May 2002 Fierce Allegiance began recording the album "STRENGTH THROUGH DEFIANCE." Fierce Allegiance entered WireWorld Studio, Nashville, TN in September 2002 to have their songs mixed by the legendary producer Michael Wagener. The man responsible for producing/mixing such great bands: Queen, X, Metallica, Hammerfall, Skid Row, Plasmatics, Testament, and Megadeth. The new seven songs from the album represent the diverse musical backgrounds of which the band comes from. The songs mix power metal riffing and vocals, intense hardcore breakdowns, trem-picked black metal, punk energy, old school thrash anthems and much more, all of which is up to your interpretation. We will not claim to be the best band, like every other bio claims. We don't apologize for being American nor are we apologetic for the city were from (we won't pretend to be Swedish). We just claim to play our music with honesty and intensity. With a FIERCE ALLEGIANCE - We shall conquer, We shall OVERCOME. Us kids stand strong, never again shall we be told our dreams are wrong, and can never be achieved, They Can, FIERCE ALLEGIANCE.
