Artist History
"Shades of Grey" began in Houma, Louisiana in January of 1999
when two of it's members, Felicia Johnson and Trenell Parfait,
met after being showcased together on a local radio
station. Shortly after their first meeting, the two
began writing and performing in South LA clubs.
They were getting great responses for their songs and
shows. By the summer, they released their first CD of
all original material, and a few months later released
a second CD. Felicia moved to Nashville, and Trenell
began to commute there for writing sessions and performances.
Trenell moved to Nashville a year later and the rest is history..
