Artist History
Drummer Brooks Ruhman grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, playing the drums at age twelve. Vocalist/Lead guitarist Bryson Van Cleve and bassist Luke Brown began playing guitar their senior year of High School in 1997 at Bryant, Arkansas. Van Cleve had been writing songs for years before he teamed up with Ruhman and Brown in 1999 to form Wake the Dawn: a name that symbolizes the re-awakening of rock roots music in America. Recently in 2003 Wake the Dawn add their fourth and final member Clint Standfill. Clint added to the band by giving the band a two guitar sound with his solid rhymthm/slide guitar playing. |
