    Artist History
THRONEAEON was formed in 1991 by Roger Sundquist (drums) but back then under a different name. In 1992 vocalist and later also guitarist Tony Freed joined the band. After some different line-up´s Andreas Dahlström (bass) and Göran Eriksson (lead guitar) made the set complete in 1994. The following year, 1995, they officially took the name THRONEAEON as their own. No official recordings were released until the day of darkness in december '95 when the debut demo tape, "Demo-95" was let loose. This demo was very well recieved by the underground and after a short period of time the Swedish label Voices of Death showed some interest in the band. The deal was to record a split-CD with another Swedish band in the middle of '96 but due to one reason or another, the band decided not to participate on this release. In the year of 1997 the band felt like releasing some of the tracks recorded for the split-CD. This resulted in their second official demo tape, "Carnage". This tape includes four tracks of really intense and brutal death metal. This demo also got great reviwes in both bigger and smaller magazines... In 1998 four tunes were being nailed on tape and was released as a mini-cd through the Danish label Helgrind Productions. This mini-cd was blessed with the name "With Sardonic Wrath". In 1999 Göran left and was quickly replaced by Jens Klovegård. The following year THRONEAEON ended up signing a deal with the Dutch record label Hammerheart Records. The mini-cd "With Sardonic Wrath" was re-released by Hammerheart Records in January 2001. They recorded the debut full-length entitled "Neither of Gods" in Studio Underground and it is now avaiable to the masses. Good reviews have followed as well as plenty of interviews in the international Metal press. THRONEAEON have been playing live a lot, with bands such as NAPALM DEATH, THE CROWN, IMPALED NAZARENE, DARK FUNERAL, LUCIFERION, NECROPHOBIC, ENTOMBED, MERCILESS and so on... Expect nothing but the rawest and most hateful Death Metal performed with intense headbanging! In other words, just don't miss it!
