Artist description
Schooled in the grooves of James Brown and the intricate improvisations of modern jazz, Soul Slipper gives an innovative twist to the world of contemporary urban dance grooves. Old-school beats and the ethereal sound of Fender Rhodes meet freshly conceived melodies and harmonies to create a savory blend of jazz and funk. Propelled by distinctly funky bass-lines, blazing guitar solos, and a great depth of soul, the Soul Slipper experience is infectious. While paying equal respect to all the traditions which influence their sound, the band performs original music which breathes new life into the genre of acid-jazz. |
