Artist History Mezkla Band History Mezkla was formed by the break-up of the original band "Isaac's Paranoia." Manny the drummer and Mathew the guitarist both moved to Houston, Texas, and began what is now known as, previously stated, "Mezkla." "Manny and I began writing music on our own, but could never quite finish a song by ourselves. We would proudly show the songs ideas to each other and the other would end up finishing it. It seems to be... meant to be. I lived in San Antonio, for about one year before I moved to Houston, to meet with Manny, and until I did move, we would chat over the internet and stream our musical ideas to each other, or send files back and forth. Now it seems easier than ever to come up with ideas and get them recorded. Thoughts seem to free-flow," explains Mathew. "At the beginning, everything was just like a wild dream. Something I was not meant to do for a living, or at least I was not raised that way. For my family, becoming an engineer or architect was the way to go, but I never felt like that was the direction I wanted to go. When I met Mathew, I knew right away the kind of potential he had. But I was not completely sure that he knew what he wanted. When I moved to Houston, I was not sure what the future of Mezkla was going to be. In fact, I never thought that he will take the big step of moving here to Houston. After he did move and take that step, it taught me where Mat stands. Now there are no barriers that stop us from making our dreams come true. This is just the beginning of our journey," explains Manny.
