Artist description
Half-A-Wreck is a diversified group of musicians with their own
breed of contemporary jazz "jazz with an attitude"
Half-A-Wreck's big sound is largely due to Jan's awesome Hammond B3 organ playing.
The rhythm section (Mike on bass and Rick on drums) is thick and solid with great chops.
Joe's guitar is in your face with solo's yet laid back on rhythm.
Van's trumpet melodies are sweet but when he solo's, watch out.

Artist History
Half-A-Wreck's members have played in bands as far back as the 60's. The members are from the Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia area.
The members have diversified backgrounds and have played everything from country to rock.
Half-A-Wreck was established after Jan and Van had been getting together occasionally to
write some songs. Not long after they had begun to get together they realized they had great
potential to write good music. They soon called on the remaining musicians to complete the writing
stage and eventually record their debut' CD "Jamin' At Jan's". "Jamin' At Jan's" was recorded at
Ambient Studios in Beltsville, Md. Special thanks to Ray Tilkens for his spectacular
engineering and production skills!
