Susan Conte (vocals) is from Houston, TX. After graduating from Rice University she started studing voice. "I can remember going out all over town to every open mic I could find and belting out old blues songs acappella, from Billie Holiday to Dakota Staton, Rosemary Clooney and Mae West." After a while, Susan found herself in New York City studying songwriting with Sheila Davis, the author of Craft of Lyric Writing.
