Artist History
A good place to start would be to enter the name Zoot Sims into a Google.Com search engine. There you can read one or more of the 24,900 pages of information attributed to Zoot. Having played music all their lives also, L.P. Sims and Jim Hall began learning songs from L.P.'s extensive record collection left to him by his family. There are sixty or so records of Zoot alone either with a small ensemble or playing with the biggest big bands of the day, and many others including a very large Duke Ellington collection. |
