Artist History
Four songs featured on Nick Dastardly's debut release,"Let Go of My Bruised Wing", have already received awards from various songwriting contests. "How Did You Get to be Such a Bore" was a top finalist in the 1998 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Three more awards came from the annual mid-Atlantic Songwriting contest: Semifinalist for "Something is Bound to Break" and Honorable Mentions fo r"The Past is an Addiction" and "Two Frog Legs and The Eye of a Newt." The strength of the CD garnished the band national acclaim when they received semifinal honors in Musician Magazine's 1998 Best Unsigned Band Contest. The

Press Reviews
"There's a persistent trickle of local releases that sound just as polished and radio-friendly as pretty much any offering of the mainstream market today. I can honestly say that the debut release from Nick Dastardly, 'Let Go of My Bruised Wing' , is one of them."
-Music Monthly
Every once and awhile, an album will come along and just totally blow me away. The Counting Crows, the Wallflowers and the Spin Doctors all wish they could sound this good. Really.
-Mish Mash

?...refreshing songs and honest delivery...?
-the Arlington Journal
?You could slip most any of these twelve tunes into heavy rotation on national rock radio and no one would
bat an eye. In fact, the album would probably go gold or platinum..?
?What can I say, except go buy it!?
-Music Monthly
?Very cool stuff, excellent.?
-99.1 WVOD
?We?re talking just good, solid workmanship which went into a blissfully unpretentious piece of music.?
