Artist History
Jazz Gallery acquired its name in January of 1995, when a compact disk under this title was recorded by Nikolai Panov's group. But in fact, The Nikolai Panov band started its activity in 1987, when LP Virgo was recorded and released. They have performed at Pori Jazz Festival, Indian Music Festival, IAJE, Eurojazz-98 to name just a few. In the period of 1992-1997 Jazz Gallery presented many interesting “portraits” of instrumentalists and vocalists from Europe and USA. Among them are Jeffery Smith, Deborah Bown, Herve Sellen, Jean Bardy http://perso.cybercable.fr/bardy/... |

Press Reviews
“While performing each member immediately and perfectly understood the nuances of his fellow colleagues. And it is surprising, despite of the fact that all solos were extensive, their longevity was not felt. There were not any extra notes. The music was variegated, sometimes strong and dynamic, but still the lyrics with their contemplativeness and philosophical thoughts prevailed. This was “quiet jazz” (which is not typical for this genre).
