Artist History
Always surrounded by turmoil and personal tragedy, The Chameleons split in 1987, ironically just as they’d reached their artistic peak. But for the fans, it didn’t end there. The Chameleons released just three studio albums during their time together, but since their split, almost twenty compilations, ‘live’ and session CD’s have hit the shops in a welcome, but hopeless attempt to quench the fans thirst for new recordings. A decade after their demise, The Chameleons are now bigger than ever.
But on September 6th the ghosts can finally be laid to rest. Burgess’s collaboration with Yves Altana (with whom he first worked on the album, Paradyning in 1995) has produced a collection of songs that, with trademark haunting melodies, thought-provoking lyrics and beautifully-textured guitars, is bound to satisfy the expectations of even the most ardent of fans. |
