Artist History
Grain arose out of the ashes of The Moles in 1991 and continues to rock the South with a vengeance. Hailing from the creative Mecca of Gainesville, Florida, this power trio has played with bands such as Hot Water Music, Yo La Tengo, Palace, and Superchunk. Grain is known for its loud and rowdy live shows that mix elements of rock, country, blues, and punk into a new synthesis. It is a sonic assault seemlessly joined to a strong emphasis on song tradition. Grain is currently finishing their new album No Chaser to be released in 2003. |

Press Reviews
Grain/Rob McGregor - The sometimes-melancholy, sometimes-cheeky Rob McGregor is a Gainesville institution, whether as a Hank Williams-via-Johnny Thunders acoustic folkster or as country-punk ringleader with blisteringly rambunctious miscreants Grain.
