Artist description
In the early fall of 99, four young guys took it into there own hands to express
them selves musically. They got together and formed the hardcore hip/hop
influenced band, the Subliminal Criminals.
They played their first show in September of 99 at the 7th house in a battle of
the bands. Featuring 14 of the best-unsigned bands within the state, there was
heavy competition. Though the band had never performed on stage before they
came through and successfully defeated the other talented bands. Earning the
prize of 16 hours of recording time at Sound Camp Studios (The Suicide
Machines, Innercorse), the band was able to record a five track EP titled
"Subliminal Style".
The band has played many venues around the Midwest such as; St Andrews
Hall (Detroit, Mi); Harpo's (Detroit); 7th House (Pontiac, Mi);I-Rock
(Detroit); Wired Frog (Eastpointe, Mi); Main event (Toledo); Frankie's
(Toledo, Oh); B.P.M (Toledo); Token Lounge (Westland, Mi); Paychecks
Lounge (Hamtramck, Mi); Pharaohs golden Cup club (Westland).
They have been featured on many radio programs that showcase up and
coming talent. Some of which include "Motor City Riffs" (101.1 fm WRIF
Detroit, Mi) and "Blue Water Rocks" (106.3 fm Sarnia Canada). The band
was interviewed live in studio and their EP "Subliminal Style" was aired to many
