Michael spent the first years of his life in Scotch Plains, NJ. listening to the 1950's rock n roll that his sisters played. His early influences were Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Eddie Cocheran, The Beatles, many Rock a'billy artists, and Bobby Fuller (he rolls his eyes regarding Elvis). He then lived in Howard County MD, where he dreamt of becoming a famous songwriter/composer.He played professionally in many bands in Baltimore (circa mid to late 1970's and early 80's, with some of the best performers like drummer Bill Stahley and Guitarist Dan Lough. The last band that he played in was called "Sage" with these gentleman and was one of the areas best. Mike recorded a few Dr. Pepper commericals solo for WFBR in 1974. Mike is a Registered Nurse and lives in Bel Air, MD with his wife Joanne, (whom all of his love songs are written for....all of them!) his daughter Christy and two Labrador Retrievers. He is an avid songwriter guitar player, bass player (elite), keyboard player, drum tech, vocalists, freshwater fisherman and computer GEEK. He has also written an entire score for a play called Xenamenofrito, which ran in Los Angeles in 2000. He is not limited to one genre of music. He listens/plays and writes Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, Classical Music, Heavy Metal and New Age. His favorite artists today are Smash Mouth, Lekin Park, Train and U2. We can be sure that albums to follow will cover many of these areas! |
