Artist description
Look What You Did is a band. They play ethereal, minimalist rock that's best described as noise pop- resulting in catchy songs you will sing yourself to sleep with. They are "full of magic and mystique" and it has been said that their music is "hooky stuff, hooky, hooky stuff"
The band started when bass player Marc Lecompte and drummer Stefan Krawec joined forces in a practice space they would often meet at in October 2000. In the months to follow, they received a much needed guitarist and vocalist, Danny Georgi. From this point, the three young men began writing songs, drawing influences from the likes of Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Superchunk and Heavy Vegetable, but creating something very unique and innovative.
After only a few months, Look What You Did recorded a 3 song 4-track tape titled "Find Your Coda" that sold out (only about 50 copies were made). This low quality recording received radio play on some university stations across Canada, to which people responded well. It was around this time that they started playing more and more shows, some bands they've had the pleasure of playing with include Dressy Bessy (Kindercore), the Salteens (Eandering Records), Denali (Jadetree), Deathray Davies (Kindercore), 90 Day Men (Southern), Christiana (High School Champion) and White Star Line (Antiantenna).
After playing all over Ontario, they decided another recording was in order, so with a digital 8-track, the 5 song CD "Radial Tweed" was created, and it too sold out. A few months have passed since then, and the boys were offered to record a CD for free at a studio as part of a project for a couple of student engineers. The result of this offer was a 9 song self titled CD to be released before 2003. The young gentlemen plan to tour in the summer of 2003 to support their first full length release.
