Artist History Geri was raised in New York City, but has travelled all over the world. Her cosmopolitan experience comes together in her music, which is tinged with flavors of many musical encounters, particularly Brasilian and Latin music. Years of travelling back and forth to Brasil introduced an inevitable fusion of Brasilian flavor into Geri's original compositions, but her Jazz influence remains at the core of her material. It is also a genre of music that allows for experimentation in her composition. "I've been so fortunate in my life to have been exposed to so much music from so many cultures from an early age, it's resulted in a deep and rich palette of musical shades from which I can draw inspiration." The singer collaborates frequently with Isaac ben Ayala, one of New York's best kept secret weapons. "Isaac has one of the deepest musical talents I've ever experienced. Working with him constantly challenges me to aim higher, because he's no joke!". Geri is always working on new songs, which will undoubtedly be featured on this site.
