Artist description
Adonai and I is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist/producer David "Solid" Gould. The group features members of the Skatalites, Klezmer Conservatory Band, John Brown's Body, the Miracle Orchestra, Pressure Cooker Band, and Knockout. Adonai and I performs roots reggae versions of traditional hebrew/jewish prayers, melodies, and psalms. |

The group formed to record the first album in April of 2000. The self-titled debut is out on I-Town Records itownrecords.com A dub remix of the CD is available on Tzadik Records out of NYC- it is called- "David Gould- Adonai in Dub" This release is available in stores internationally or at tzadik.com The remixing was performed by Jamie Saft
