    Artist History
Rebirth was founded in the winter of 98-99 when two friends, J.P. Flores and Jared Riley, decided to put together a rock band. They quickly started making music and their first song was made, Fallen Angels. Soon they started looking for a drummer. When they saw Erick Ledesma walking down the street, he looked like someone who listens to Metal, they approached him, and asked if he knew how to play the drums. He said that he had for a couple of years, so they invited him to come over Jared’s house for the weekend and try out. J.P. And Jared thought they had their drummer but as soon as they herd him play the drums, it was evident that he didn’t know how to play. Since he stayed the weekend he befriended them and they decided to keep him in the band. With their new drummer with them they continued making more music. After a couple of months they started looking for gigs and a bassist, they were able to get a gig but the bassist wasn’t working out so they took the gig and played with out one. They were able to play five gigs but they knew they needed a bassist. They convinced their friend Rory Larsen to put down the guitar and pick up the bass and joined their band. He agreed and their band was now completed. Rebirth, now with all four members, decided to make a demo so they could promote their band. When they scraped up the money, they were able to rent five hours in a recording studio, it included an engineer. Three songs were recorded: Fallen Angels, Fire, and Benighted. Since they didn’t have much time to record, the songs weren’t up to their liking, but they didn’t have money to keep going, so they just accepted them. They continued playing gigs and passing out their demo after every show. When they had enough money they went back to the recording studio to fix the three songs and add two more, Water and Nevermore. After a couple of more gigs Rebirth decided to take a brake. In that time it was decided that they would practice the songs and make new ones. Tension with the band and Jared was beginning to get hard to handle. When it was too much, the band decided that Jared had to go. With Jared gone Rebirth went back into the garage so they could write up a new song list and look for a new signer. After many additions of deferent people, Rebirth finally found a singer who brought a sound that was good for the band, his name is Art de la Rocha. With Art they continued to make music. They went back to the studio to record three new songs Voices, Deception and Dreamscape. They continued playing gigs and making new fans. After every show they would give out their new demo. After some time, Art wanted to go in a new and broader direction with the music. The rest of the band wanted to keep the same heavy live sound. After a year Art decided to quit the band and pursuit other music interest. Rebirth once again started looking for a new singer. Rebirth once again went through the process of auditioning singers. After some audidtions, Marshall Beck became the third singer for Rebirth. In Marshall they finely found what they were looking for, a person who had the same goals and a good personality. Marshall brought a heavier sound than the two previous singers did. Now with Marshall, Rebirth went back to the garage to make new heavier songs and work on the previous ones as well...
