Artist description Khaki Disaster is an indie-rock band from Richmond, Va. It is a quartet made up of Josh Hryciak on drums, Kenny Shultz on guitar and vocals, Brandon Baldwin on bass and vocals, and Virginia Walters on keyboards and vocals. Josh, Kenny, and Brandon had been playing together for nearly two years when they picked up Virginia in the fall of 2000. Completely changing their sound, the band decided to record. In April, Khaki Disaster released a four song Ep called "The Casiotone MT-100 Ep" recorded at Sound of Music Studios in Richmond. Artist History brandon and josh met in the same regiment and the full effect during the vietnam war. on a patrol through the south vietnam jungles, this alkaline duo came in contact with kenny shoutz, who was a charlie running from the queen of boston. it was quite a journey. josh almost stepped on a pile of styx covering a mine, but out of compassion, kenny almost saved his like...life that day- but he did. josh, in return for his life, gave kenny his promise ring which he was planning to give to his modest mouse- virginia- on their anniversary back home in Chicago. kenny rejoiced saying, "jemae eight wurl!" "the who?" pondered this duo.
