Artist description
What's that you're seeing? That's right, Ghostt: Born in Jasckson, Mississippi, but living his formative years in Inglewood, California. Ghostt has been there; street violence, life's difficulties and life in the hood have all contributed to Ghostt's determination and talent as a rapper.
With his debut ablum "Ghostt" released in 1998 on Thump Street records, Ghostt received critical acclaim. Selling a respectable amount units in the southwest where, "Players Anthem" a collaboration with the late Roger Troutman, received airplay. Ghostt also rebarked on a small tour at the time of the release and gained quite a following. With some help from Squeak-Ru (Allfrumtha I/Priority), Squeak's contributions made an impact on Ghostt's debut release. He provided back up vocals on several tracks. Squeak's signature vocals as well as lyrical input solidified the album and a friendship with Ghostt.
Squeak makes his contribution again on the forthcoming sophomore release by Ghostt entitled, "Ghostt.com". Along with Squeak-Ru, Ghostt has been working with Rob DeVoe PKA Money Walker. The sound they were able to create is a new genre! Imagine if you can... hard core rock goes rap...! The unique quality and sound of "On My Mind" (SFG Productions) will leave speechless..., this sound can not be duplicated! Other tracks include "Who's Bangin' on The West Side" (SFG Productions) and a remake/sampling of the Yvonne Elliman 1978 hit "If I Can't Have You" along "Start Some War" featured Ronnie Devoe of New Edition and Bell, Biv, Devoe groups, and Rob Devoe (Money Walker)
While Working on the Ghostt.com release Ghostt states, "The (debut) 'Ghostt' release in '98 was definitely a learning experience. I've grown, my knowledge has increased (of the music industry) and my music has graduated to a new level. I'm confident that the Ghostt.com release will appeal to a much wider audience with the diverse feel from track to track."
The Ghostt.com album had inspired Ghostt to create a website that allows visitors the chance to hear and download MP3 samples, view show pic's. purchase Ghostt.com merchandise, and also view the stable of future artists in the making.
This is no apparition... You'll be seeing and hearing Ghostt in your markets. |
