Artist History
STITICHES- Formed by Ryan Farrell, and Jeff Nitchke in January of 2000. A machine of technology, emotion, and intellect. We decided to start this band early in 96' with the idea of having very few members and an elaborate structure of sythentic instruments. Parting ways, deciding to focus on other projects Ryan began studying the keyboard intensely, and Jeff began mastering programming and drum theory. It wasn't until the beginning of January 97' until we started just jamming around a little bit, and writing a few songs. We decided to officially start a band and abandon the bands in which we were currently playing in.
GLITCH was formed and the writing process had begun. We were eager to get into the studio and start tracking when we realized that their were several other bands with the name GLITCH. We had many names in mind but settled on STITCHES, for it had symbolic meaning to us both in some crazy metaphorical way. In November of 2000 we recorded "A Change of Skin," our first demo. We only replicated about 50 CDs but we just needed something to get the word out. We played about 5 shows and decided we needed a seriously produced CD. So we headed for the studio again, this time in April of 2001. "ENTROPY" was born, a five song EP exploiting the dark, ever decaying ways of life through composition and poetry. This was our first really produced and packaged CD. We sold over 800 in our area alone, and are still currently selling and supporting it.
In the beginning of November 2001, we signed with a new management and production company who was very interested in working with us, and going to get us into the studio to record a full length album. DUNN-CRUZEN MANAGEMENT AND PRODUCTION Have been a catalyst to the quick spreading disease which is STITCHES. With strong backing and support, we will infect this world with our eccentric compositions, dark poetic lyrics, and elaborate unpredictable stage shows. Keep your eyes and ears peeled as this musical force progresses. |
