Scott Benson's music is a unique blend
of acoustic folk, country and bluegrass.
His music is inspired mainly by life
on the prairies. Scott is also known to
play a Cape Breton tune or two as
Cape Breton fiddling was his first
love after picking up the violin. |

Artist History
Scott Benson started to play the fiddle when he was five years old. Currently 20, Scott has played alongside artists such as Ashley MacIsaac, John Allen Cameron and the MacGillivrays. After 10 years of classical violin training, Scott studied Cape Breton fiddle music for several years and then took formal jazz training at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, AB. |
