Extreme metal fans should be prepared to experience a mind-altering blend of technicality, versatility,
and ferocity, bringing to mind both the pioneers and current leaders of the extreme metal genre, but which is
comparable to no single band in existence.

Artist History
"Psychotogen" literally means "an agent, such as a drug, that induces
psychosis." But after one successful demo and the release of their
first full-length album Perverse and Unnatural Practices, it is time
to add an alternate definition to Psychotogen: "a technically precise
and ultra-intense death metal band from Baltimore, Maryland!" After
less than two years together, PSYCHOTOGEN have not only piqued
the interest of the extreme metal community (none other than Marty
Rytkonen of Metal Maniacs praised the band's two-song demo as
"full of conviction" and "damn good"), but have now firmly entrenched
themselves as a contender for the extreme metal throne with the
latest CD, "The Calculus of Evil" (on Crash Music Inc). |
