Artist History
NOMAD was born in 1994 with the intention of being a big Rock band. During 5 years Jaime [vocalist, guitarist and composer] was looking for musicians to share passion and illusions with. First he met Rubén [drummer]; at that moment he was leaving two bands where he played the drums. It took one year more to find Antonio [bass player]. In 2000 the triangle was closed. Each of them contributed their experience and emotions to the existing songs of NOMAD and they also started to create new songs, mixing sensations of the past [Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix] and the present [Tool, Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age,…].
In October 2000 they recorded their first demo with 4 songs, which shows a wide range of styles. The songs don´t lack of originality, because they have enough personality and eclectic style.
In 2001 NOMAD played live in several cities in Spain, especially in Madrid. They played in the most famous concert halls [Siroco, Silikona, La Sala, Sol, Hebe, etc…]. During Easter they performed several times in the North of Spain and they even played with the famous Spanish group “Hermanos Dalton†in the well- known concert hall “La Imagen†in Pradejón [La Rioja].
They usually make unplugged concerts and transform their songs in acoustic way [where volume turns to complexity feelings] allowing them to perform their music in another kind of spaces, like cafes.
NOMAD participated in several contests as well: Gruta 77, Silikona 2001, Villa de Madrid, Ciudad de Calahorra, Parrilla Rock 2001,…
At the moment they have just finished the mastering of their second demo with 6 live songs recorded the 7th of November of 2001. It is the experience of a year playing live, where you can feel all their energy in stage.
They would like to release their songs not only in their country, but also outside Spain. |

Press Reviews
