Artist description Hundred Thousand Down is a high-energy punk and ska band who often dees genre, stereotypes, expectations -- and good taste. Their live performances are perhaps most renowned for their half-baked sense of humor, but this ensemble leaves little to be desired. Their music expresses a variety of genres -- including punk, ska, jazz, reggae, and funk -- and, in contrast to an array of local garage bands, offers a certain intelligence and sophistication that comes when you combine three scientists, a philosophy major, an actual musician, and a dump-truck driver from Sequim.
