Artist History Born and raised in Compton, California, Def Child (Michael Grigsby) is a west-coast rap artist who started spitting in 1996. At 14, while attending Venice High School, he met up with his childhood friend Jaron. DC, Jaron, and a few of their friends formed P.D.H. (Pimp Dat Hoe). They would make table beats and rip for their fellow students. At the time, it seemed like nothing more than childhood dreams for the young artists. As he grew older he decided to pursue his childhood dream and become a rap artist.
