    Artist description
A unique blend of Hip-Hop Soul Funk
    Artist History
CaRissa Danielle was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in a family where getting together, singing, harmonizing, and playing music was always going on. CaRissa's grandfather, William Lee, was a member of a famous singing group Malcolm Dodds and the Tunedrops who did such 50s classics as 'Fools Rush In' and 'Beauty and the Beast Did the Rock & Roll'. CaRissa showed the ability to write songs at an early age. She started with a small keyboard and 4 track recorder putting together multi-part songs; singing the lead and all the harmony parts as well as writing all the music. Today, CaRissa works with a computer, digital sequencing and audio recording software, multitrack recorders, mixing boards,  and digital effects processors. She has written and produced over 50 songs to date. CaRissa's musical background includes influences of gospel, rock, and R&B. She sang with the Inspirational Ensemble, 'TFE', and Abiding Love gospel choirs as a fierce alto. CaRissa's range in style was influenced by what she calls the "orchestrated funk" sound of Earth, Wind, and Fire, the smooth harmonies of Take Six, the soulful voice of Gladys Knight, and the power and style of Patti Labelle. CaRissa has performed her original songs at several New York clubs; including the Red Zone, Sweetwaters, The Cotton Club, and Club Savage. She headlined a Fatback Entertainment production of "A Tribute to Phyllis Hyman" doing a show stopping rendition of Phyllis' 'You Know How to Love Me'. CaRissa also co-produced the show's powerful music tracks. She was a featured vocalist with the R&B bands "Rare Touch"and "Sure Thing" and made the rounds at New York's top clubs and at "open mike" nights at Nells, and Peppers. In theater, CaRissa sang in the chorus and appeared on stage in The National Black Theatre's production of the award winning gospel show "The Legacy". As the major writing and producing talent of ACS Productions, Inc., CaRissa is currently putting the finishing touches on her debut CD "Ms. Danielle". She is also writing and producing for several artists and perfecting her stage act touring with "Sure Thing". "I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom I love, for the talent." --CaRissa Danielle

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Let me intoduce you to CaRissa Danielle. She is the hot new producer from ACS Productions, Inc., a company that she co-owns along with Anita Bing and Charles 'Smiley' Webb. The belief of ACS Prosuctions is that a song is not released before it's really done. Now, there are those of you who would argue and say that a song potentially is NEVER done, but wait until you hear CaRissa's music. Her blend of Jazz/Funk/Hip-Hop Blues is one that is sure to grab attention at the top levels of the Industry. She recently enjoyed success on the MP3.com soul charts with a song she produced entitled, 'By Your Side' (featuring TDC), The song held onto the top 20 for more than a month. Already shoppng her new CD entitled, 'Ms. Danielle', to all the majors, CaRissa is now 'takng time off' from the everday studio schedule and making the rounds at some of New York's hottest clubs, including a recent performance at Club Ovations, in Brooklyn Heights. If you miissed the show, you'll have another chance to see her at NELL'S on January 10th at 9pm. Call to reserve your spot, 'cause if you miss it, you'll be reading about how great it was in the morning paper. --Justin Davis, the StoneDancerGroup, Inc.
