Artist description
The band was assembled in southeastern Michigan. Let's get that out of the way, first and foremost. The three men who are Ten Words For Snow have decided that melody really does matter, but experimentation and dynamics are what brought us together in the first place. Intricate guitars twist, turn, yet somehow still comfort and help project the moody, memorable vocals into the forefront. Low end is always there when needed and steps up front to lead when called upon. The drums drum and know their place. Composed with care and diligence, these are songs you can enjoy without feeling as if your brain has been mocked.
Comparisons to better-known bands are often considered trite and are not typically encouraged. But, as a music critic and musician myself, I still find them useful. No real direct comparisons come to mind, but you may hear elements of The Police, Sunny Day Real Estate, Lush, and maybe even Mahavishnu Orchestra (the mellower moments - there's no fusion here, friend).
Thanks for taking the time to listen. |
