Artist History
Nothing decided back in early '95 to start a band with the idea to use mainly synths. Unfortunately living in Australia didn't make it easy to find people with the same idea, so he decided to go it alone.
Born in March 1980, Nothing had the pleasure of growing up in the end of the 80's and having the exposure to bands such as The Beatles and The Cure from his father. Nothing eventually took up the piano under the guidance of his father.
After 10 long years of studying the piano Nothing gave it up and started on the guitar, trying to pull of the alternative sound that was just starting around '93. This phase lasted 5 years and about 8 bands before Nothing decided after much soul searching that the big guitar sound was not what he was looking for! Around this time Nothing was listening to alot of industrial bands such as - Nine inch nails, Skinny puppy, Stabbing Westward, Ministry, so he was getting into this synth sound and was loving it!
Around late '98 Nothing forked out the money and bought himself his first synth, a Roland MKS-50. Not content with this Nothing went on to buy a few more, namely the Minimoog and the Jx-3p, and a Akai S2000 sampler. With this equipment and a lowly p200 mmx PC Nothing started " MagdolyN " and his first EP " it's not your Fault "
Now in 2001 Nothing is working on his new CD which is to be an epic! so keep your ears open for the new sound about to be released!
