Artist description
Manifesting its influence from Chicago, the birth place of John Wayne Gacy, the Atomic Bomb and Walt Disney, Macabre’s unpredictable murder metal is still going strong for over ten years since their debut "Grim Reality" release. Intense drumming, thick, horrific chording and serial killer nursery rhyme at breakneck speeds are Macabre trademarks. |

Metal Observer
This is a Metal-dream come true. Forget some lonely Metal-band and their high school-fantasies about them copulating with nuns in churches writhing in Satan's flames (that's a pretty good album title, huh?), this is about the sickest puppy ever to live. 26 tracks about Jeffrey Dahmer! He killed em, fucked em, ate em! How much worse can you get, what, put sugar in their gas tank, too? Who fuckin cares, they're dead! 52minutes of MACABRE is insanity obscure, this is like a Fusion/Grind/Thrash-heart attack!
This CD is titled "Dahmer", but this must be a misprint because after listening to it several times, I am sure it should be called "We're Better Than Everyone Else"! OK, guitarist, just try to figure out a full song, I bet you get at least frustrated. Now try to figure out that HAMMERFALL-song! (No offence to HAMMERFALL, they rule, too) But my point is, this music is intelligently written, perfectly performed and tighter than a crabs ass! Precision in the music and a full biography of Dahmer's life in two vocal styles, one deep enough to shake your groove thing and the other high enough to drive some one to make an art exhibit out of 114 washing machines (that's an insider joke for Alex and everyone in Germany!), so anyhow listen: the high points are the insane "Dog Guts" and the haphazard "McDahmer's". This should be forced onto all youths twelve and under before they are allowed to get a drivers license. If you don't have this, get it!
So listen OK, if you're reading my stuff, and I know you are, you crazies! Wes highly recommends all MACABRE-albums. I don't care what the LIMP BIZKIT-fan tells you, buy this shit!
