Press Reviews
"We want our music to be free, that way we can continue to write songs on our own terms. It helps that all of us have a regular day job. That helps us pay for the equipment. We do the occasional party gigs. That keeps us going and we are happy this way." says Krishna, the founder member and songwriter of the band called "DEGA".
"Dega" is a 4 piece band from Chennai - India. They classify their music as "Melodic Rock". Their music ranges from Hard Rock to Soft Love songs. All their music is self produced from a make shift garage-studio. Tracks like "Live 2 Die" and "Love is a feeling" showcase what can be done from home on a tight budget. Their 4th track "Step into the light" is claimed to be inspired by the book "Lord of the rings". Though the sound quality is pretty thin, the songs are catchy and worth checking out. "Dark Knight" is a hard rock track and has a real neat chorus. "We are young" summarizes the story of our lives and rates an A+ on words. Its a refreshing change from the crappy industry music found at local CD stores.
The Best part is that listening to their music isn't gonna burn a hole in your poket. All their music is available free for download at http://www.mp3.com/dega So go ahead and Enjoy !
