Artist History
It all started when I was 15 years old. I found
music... I started playing saxophone and guitar,
and joined my first band: Pangea. This band has
ment a lot for the development of my musical
expression and skills. We played jazz fusion,
and played together for about 6 years. We all
developed a lot during this period. I owe a lot
to these musicians: Hans Christian Hjort - bass,
Niklas Karlsen - keyboard, Tom Erik Roed - drums
and Simen Birkenes - guitar whom I have the
pleasure of still working with - a great
guitarist. I have played with many bands
through the years to mention some: Token,
Bürgersteig, Cloak. My experience of music is
based on playing a lot of different styles of
music and instruments. I have played, and play:
jazz, new age, folk, pop, rock, world, mood
music, gospel, acid jazz, big band, heavy metal,
hardcore, grunge. I get a lot of inspiration
from playing and listening to heavy music. I feel
that there is more honesty in that music than
there is in many other kinds of genres. Rage and
King's X are bands that inspire me. I hope to
bring some of this into this solo project, even
though this is a quite different genre. But the
band that has ment the most to me is U2. U2 play
easy, honest and great music!
The most recent event happening in my musical
career is that I will start my Master of Arts
degree in Ethnomusicology fall 2002. The reason
for chosing this direction is my background from
Bangladesh where I grew up.
I hope you enjoy my music! |

Press Reviews
"This Norwegian artist, and his band, very effectively bridges the gap between music genres, as with BLUE FALLS which blends jazz rhythms and melodies with a new age sensibility creating an haunting, ambient, almost ethereal sound.
In the live version of LEAVE, the interplay of the saxophone, cello, and guitar create a textured sound scape that is not dark, but shadowy and mysterious."
